Apptimize
Aug 11, 2015
Last week, Apptimize held its first event Fast Data Driven Growth on Native Mobile, at Airware’s offices in SOMA. Product managers from Lyft, Dropbox and Yahoo! Growth all shared how their teams have been dealing with the constraints of the mobile marketplaces and strategies and tips for mobile teams all over. Here are some of the key quotes from each talk:
“Smart people really like to over complicate the problem because you can see four steps ahead, so its very tempting to say like “Hh let me go build that final version.” But when you do that you get the activity stream, you don’t get something that actually increases your users metrics.”
“The less you release, the less confident you are as a company that whatever you’re pushing out is not going to crash and you’re not going to be able to fix a major bug that affects all your users. Worst of all, this makes product and engineering the company bottleneck. You never want to be in that position.”
“What works for us does not necessarily work for you. The one thing you should not do is assume you know something.” -Sergei Sorokin
“Small wins are good, they compound. If you’re doing it right, the end result will be massive” – Kevin Li
Thanks to everyone who came out, and special thanks to our speakers. The event was a great success, and we can’t wait to have another one in the future.
